    Provincial museum opens

    Alberta's provincial museum — today the Royal Alberta Museum — opened to the public in Edmonton's Glenora neighbourhood on December 6, 1967 as the Provincial Museum and Archives of Alberta, a Centennial project; it was renamed the Royal Alberta Museum in 2005.
