Citadel Theatre opens in Edmonton
Edmonton's Citadel Theatre gave its first performance, Edward Albee's Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, in a converted Salvation Army citadel downtown. It grew into one of Canada's largest regional theatre complexes.
