Wildfire reaches the Jasper townsite
On the evening of July 24, 2024 — two days after lightning-sparked fires forced the evacuation of Jasper National Park — the Jasper Wildfire Complex swept into the townsite, ultimately destroying roughly a third of the town's buildings.
