Red Deer Polytechnic to hold Fall Open House Oct. 17

Prospective students and families can tour campus facilities and meet faculty during the free event. Two $2,500 tuition vouchers will be up for grabs in a draw.

Red Deer Polytechnic will host its Fall Open House on Saturday, Oct. 17, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at its main campus. The event is aimed at prospective learners and their families who want to learn more about the institution's programs, student services and facilities.

Attendees will have the chance to speak with RDP faculty and staff about specific programs and career pathways, attend demonstrations and lab tours, and visit campus spaces including residences and the Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre. Information sessions will also cover career planning, financial aid, scholarships, and health and wellness resources.

Lindsay Engel, RDP's Vice President of Academic and Student Experience, said the open house is designed to show how the institution's programming and applied research opportunities prepare graduates for Alberta's workforce and economy.

Prospective credit students attending the open house can submit a free application to RDP, with staff available in the library throughout the day to assist. Attendees will also be entered into a draw for one of two $2,500 tuition vouchers.
