U of L welcomes new students with Sept. 7 move-in, Sept. 8 orientation

Lethbridge's population is set to swell as University of Lethbridge students, including many from outside the region, arrive for the fall term.

The University of Lethbridge is preparing for the return of students next week, with move-in beginning Monday, Sept. 7 at 8:30 a.m. and continuing throughout the day on a prescheduled basis to manage traffic through residence buildings.

Many incoming students come from outside the Lethbridge region, with some settling into housing on the city's Westside near campus and others finding accommodations elsewhere in town.

On Tuesday, Sept. 8, the university will hold a full day of orientation activities from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The schedule includes a President's Welcome hosted by Dr. Digvir Jayas, campus service tours led by current students, a buffet lunch, faculty orientation sessions, and a wrap-up festival organized by the University of Lethbridge Students' Union featuring food, music, games and entertainment.
